Summer dresses...

There is nothing better than a summer dress.  Mine have been getting quite the workout lately, it has been hot and humid in NYC.  I'm fearing that some of my favorites will not make it to another season.

Lucky for me, Reformation just put a ton of great summer staples on sale.

I just ordered this one, in hopes of a few more weeks of summer!

Espalier...

At the Brooklyn Heights Designer Showhouse, last year, I first spied Pierre Frey's Espalier wallpaper in a dressing room by Henry & Co.  It was a showstopper!  
The gorgeous vine print was accented with a blue/green gloss paint from Farrow & Ball. 

Green has never been much on my radar - usually steering towards blues and greys - this wallpaper has changed that for me.  How charming would this be in a little pass thru hallway, or a powder room. The possibilities are endless.

Wicker love...

My love for summer goes far beyond beach hopping and rosé drinking.  It extends into interiors as well.  I adore a sisal rug, year round, and tend to favor lighter, airier colors when decorating.

When I first spied Celerie Kemble's lighting collection, I fell head over heels.  Rattan lamps and pendants, reminiscent of beach umbrellas.  

Now to figure out just the right spot for one.

August to-do...

How is it the second week of August already?!

It feels like to was Memorial Day just last week.

Now is the time to make the final checks on your summer to-do list - a peek at mine below.

- Day trips

I went to New Preston, Ct last week, and have been going to Southampton to the beach regularly.  Still on the list Ocean House, Asbury Park, and the Northfork.

- Bike rides, tennis and stand-up paddle boarding 

My new thing is to pack a picnic on my paddle board, and paddle out to lunch.

- Summer eats

Summer is the best time to go out to eat in NYC, bc everyone is away!  Grand Banks, Pastis, and the Fulton in NYC; Truck, Greybarns, and Rowayton Seafood (again) in the suburbs.

The Pouch...

Bottega Veneta has always made gorgeous, lust-worthy handbags.  Their knot bag has been on my wishlist for eons, my Mother has a cross-body that I keep a close eye on, and my cosmetic cases are often used as evening clutches. 
The brands new Creative Director, Daniel Lee, introduced The Pouch earlier this year, and I am desperate to get my hands on one!
