Weekend plans...

It is the official start to Summer!  The weather is looking 50/50, but it is not going to rain on my parade.   My beach bag has been packed for weeks, and the rosé is chilling.   Cheers to Summer!

The best skirt for the beach and the pool.

This lucky charm necklace is at the top of my wishlist.

Ready for Summer tennis.

Cute, cute, cute bucket hat.

Weekend reading...

A few things to keep you occupied en-route to Summer!

The Summer Cardigan is on everyone's radar.

Island on an Island.  A new park opened in NYC, and it's a must see.

Our faces are starting to see the light of day, how to put your best face forward.

Rita Konig's homes never disappoint.

Elsa Peretti is the true star from the Halston series on Netflix.

To anyone with a beach house, I'm an excellent houseguest.

Add to cart...

 Empties, that need replacing ASAP.

Nécessaire body lotion.  The perfect everyday lotion, not heavy or sticky.

Byredo hand soap in vetyver.  Fun fact, the last restaurant that I ate in, before you know what, had this soap in their restroom.  The smell always brought back fond memories.

Nécessaire body wash in eucalyptus.  Leaves you, and your shower, smelling so fresh and so clean, clean.

Sand, shells, and sun...

Beach season is upon us.  Sand, sun, picnics, shell collecting, I love it all.  Beach accoutrements are something I think about year round - scoping out new beach chairs, beach towels, the latest in sunscreen.  As the beach will be my official rentré to society, a new beach dress may be in order.  The most important aspect, snacks! This woven picnic tote makes your pb&j extra chic.

Flower burst...

I have high hopes for Summer sale season.  In a complete departure for me, my wishlist is filled with florals. Floral skirts with crisp white tees, dresses with barely-there sandals, very inspired by one of my favorite photos of Jane Birkin.

Nothing says Summer like a Pucci print.

This Zimmermann is the sweetest.

Stella McCartney pink floral skirt.  A Stella floral is one of my favorite things ever.

Honorable mentions for  Isabel Marant Etoile cotton dress - already MVP of the Summer; and this Thierry Colson top.

Chic storage...

I recently learned a decorator trick, fabric covers.
The chic fabric above covers a $35 Ikea console, that stores all the unsightly things a home needs nowadays (Ie, modems - routers - landlines).  Pure genius.  A relatively inexpensive way to gain storage, without the commitment, and investment, of buying another piece of furniture.   This could live under your television, act as a great nightstand, gorgeous in an entry, the possibilities are endless.
I'm already planning on doing something similar in my home, with one of my favorite fabrics, found online.

Cardi-party...

I'm in a rut.  I gravitate towards the same navy cardigan every single day.  Longer than an average cardigan with a slight puff sleeve, it is one of my more versatile pieces of clothing.  Worn over a sleeveless top, or thrown over your shoulders as you run out the house, it's been my go-to all Spring.  At the moment, most of my cardigans are black, which usually works, except I'm not really  leaning towards a black cardigan in Summer.

Tory Burch gingham cardigan

I love this sweater - I think it is so charming and fun.  But, will I look like a picnic table?

Khaite cardigans

Khaite cardigans have a cult following, and I am dying to join that club.  This striped cutie is new, and pretty perfect.

La Ligne Marin cardigan

My Marin sweater is truly a favorite -  I wear this sweater with everything.  The shrunken cardigan might be my next La Ligne purchase.

Let's talk table... day 4

Too pretty to eat off, let's order takeout!

House & Parties is one of my favorite instagram follows - gorgeous table settings, with that much needed added humor.  Their shop is a pure delight, filled with things you will want to use over and over again, for example these scalloped linen placemats and napkins.

Charish is such a great resource for home items.  Their inventory is overwhelming, but their curation is one of a kind.  Never fear that you are buying what everyone else has, their pieces are truly unique.   Their selection of tabletop is particularly impressive.  These sweet hand painted salad plates are a welcome addition to any tabletop wardrobe.

Anthropologie has upped their kitchenware game recently.  These striped stunners are perfect for iced tea, or a crisp Sauvignon Blanc.

Majestic boxwood flatware, yes please!

Let's talk table... day 2

La Double J.  JJ Martin's instantly happy and welcoming pieces are a true delight.  Typically, I would not set a table with pieces by the same designer, but LDJ is the exception - the more the merrier.

Dessert plates come in sets of 2, build on the same color way, or pick a few!

Bold printed placemats, to make even the classic white plate pop.

Rainbow glass set.  Never mix up which drink is yours again.

La Double J can also outfit you, her line of dresses are perfect for any occasion.

Let's talk table...

Over a year of dinners at home, and I'm not tired of it!  Let me clarify, I'm not tired of setting the table, very tired of making the meals.  A pretty table makes anything taste delish.

Shall we spend the week admiring pretty tables? I think that sounds like a great idea.

Today a table from Amanda Brooks.  Her shop outside London is at the top of my post-pandemic must visit list!

Ginori's Oriente Italiano pattern is all the rage! The variety of colors and pieces allow for endless mixing and matching.

Similar tablecloth from India Armory.

Adorable napkins from an unexpected source!

Love these swirly woven placemats from Cutter Brooks.

Sabre flatware is always a classic.

Sunnies Saturday...

If not for Isabel Marant, I would be naked.  Fact.  Her clothing pieces are my most worn in my closet.  They are timeless, elegant, and above all comfortable.  Her new eyewear line is all that in spades.  Might be time to give my trusty wayfarers a little time off.

Gracie galore...

I'm not shy about my love for Brent Neale.  Not only do I love her jewelry, but I love her home.  A talented jewelry designer, and her knack for interiors is spot on.  Chairish recently profiled the designer in their new magazine, and the images are sublime.  Filled with Gracie wallpaper, Hunt Slonem butterflies, Josef Frank x Schumacher fabrics and Damien Hirst pieces, the apartment is a joy for the senses.

Cloche love...

I think a cloche in a kitchen is the chicest, especially when encasing fresh croissants!  Strangely they are hard to find!  This one from Brooke & Lou with a woven tray, is pretty perfect - worthy of a coveted spot on my counter.   Who is bringing the croissants?!

Swim ahead...

Confession, I love swimsuit season.

My favorite days are those where I wake up in the morning and put a swimsuit on.  It means days spent at the pool or the beach, sunshine, and if I'm lucky a lobster roll and rosé.

I have a very specific swimsuit aesthetic:  black, clean lines, always strapless or one-shoulder.  What I love even more, is a swim look for less.  The scalloped beauty above is very similar to a designer suit, but at a fraction of the price.  Bring on the sun!

Shoeday Sunday...

Nearly a year to the day (!), I posted these sandals for Shoeday Saturday.  I've been checking the site regularly, hoping to buy them after missing out last Summer.  I can happily say they are back!!

I'm constantly on the lookout for a city-friendly sandal. The thicker sole and sleek black lines seem pretty city-chic to me!
