Downtown darling...

Architectural Digest is giving us a sneak peak into Nicky Hilton's downtown penthouse.
The space feels comfortable, window seats covered in Bennison fabric, couches upholstered in Colefax and Fowler, and the piece de resistance, a custom de Gournay silk wall.  My favorite piece in the room, the fireplace bench!  I am definitely bookmarking this for future.

My top three...

I've developed a skincare routine.  This comes as quite a shock, as up until recently I did not even use a moisturizer!   With all of the literature about the importance of taking care of your skin and the affects of chemicals in our skincare products, I made some changes.

Verso's foaming cleanser is a gentle enough for everyday use, leaving the skin feeling purified and not dry.

Vintner's Daughter active botanical serum.  Believe the hype!  With just a few drops your skin feels smooth, hydrated, and aids in the affects of aging.

Embryolisse lait-creme concentrate.  This cult cream is featured in every bathroom on Into the Gloss.  It is a moisturizer, eye makeup remover,  and gentle enough for babies to use.

Guild NYC ...

The dynamic duo behind design firm Roman and Williams, have opened their first store.  On the corner of Mercer and Howard, there is now an oasis for decor enthusiasts and croissant connoisseurs.
Known for their work on The Standard Highline, Le Coucou, and 11 Howard, I first learned of R+W thanks to Goop.  When the brand opened their first NYC pop-up shop in Columbus Circle, Roman and Williams designed the space.  Truthfully, the space was the best part of the pop-up!
Now, Roman and Williams has a space all their own.  Filled with furniture, lighting, enviable tabletop settings, and linens galore, the showroom is a constant work in progress with pieces added each week.   At one end of the space is Le Mercerie, a french patisserie with some of the best croissants in the city (Ed. note: go early - they sell out!).  The space will offer a full menu this Spring.
Can't make it to SoHo?  You can live vicariously thru their new website, RW Guild.

Recently...

It is still sweater, scarf and glove weather, but good news we are a month closer to Spring.
It is approaching that time of year when I am sick of all of my winter clothes.  Sweaters that I loved in November, I now dread putting on again.  Maybe a tweak is needed to survive the rest of the winter?  These Kule fur scarves look like just the right amount of whimsy and practicality.

In my opinion, Vogue.co.uk is so much better than US Vogue.com.   Everything from their news bites, beauty stories, to street-style photos catch my eye.  My latest read: not so basic beauty buys.

Donald Robertson and I have something in common; we both love bowls.

My favorite spot in my house, my bed!  It is white, fluffy, and filled with pillows.
One Kings Lane gives tips on how to style the perfect bed.

Shoeday Saturday...

While perusing street-style photos from Couture last month, I discovered that my closet is missing the most basic item - a classic black heel.  I've had my eye on the Manolo Blahnik BB pumps for a while now, might be time to make the investment.
