Flowers on sale...

It is officially Summer!

My all black wardrobe has been moved to the back of the closet, making way for crisp white dresses and light floral prints.  MATCHESFASHION is one of my favorite places to shop.  They have the best edit for the season, and a great sale!

Topping my wish list are these beauties from Emilia Wickstead, Brock Collection and Marni.

Who's coming to dinner...

A vacation recap is to come. Greece was gorgeous, pictures do not come close to showing the beauty. London is one of my favorite cities; the sights, the charm, and the food!  Nopi holds a top spot in my heart.  Right after booking my flight to London, in March, I booked a table at Nopi!

Anyone else come back from vacation wanting to cook? I'm eager to recreate the dishes I ate while abroad.  Admittedly, I have a bit of Greek cooking research ahead of me (the Feta tastes so much better there).  The Nopi and Ottolenghi cookbooks are in in my Amazon cart!

I had breakfast here, twice, this trip!

En route to MatchesFashion in Notting Hill, I stumbled upon Ottolenghi, Nopi's sister restaurant.  I brought some of their cakes to a friend, and they did not disappoint.  

Not related to my trip, but I am on a mailing list for Mark Bittman.  I am always intrigued by the recipes and everything sounds easy to make.

Green with Envy...

Run, don't walk to the Maharajas & Mughal Magnificence viewing at Christie's NYC.  The auction is on June 19th, and the pieces are on view to the public thru then.   The pieces are spectacular and riveting to see in person.

Dior in Mykonos...

Earlier this summer, Dior opened a pop-up in Mykonos (!!).
Located in chicer-than-chic Nammos village, the space houses women's collection, men's collection (by Kim Jones), and an exclusive capsule collection for the destination.  It is a safe bet that I will come home with some J'ADIOR MYKONOS merch.

Packing list...

Packing has begun!

The goal is to fit 8 days, 7 nights, 2 countries into a carry-on suitcase (similar to this).  The pressure is on!  Most days will be spent in bathing suits lounging at the pool or the beach, so no need to pack a ton, but still.  My thought process is this: stick with a few basic colors - white, navy, grey, and try to pack things that work for day into night.  

While searching for a pair of espadrilles on Goop, I stumbled upon this dress from Fabiana Pigna.  White, cotton, tiered, ruffle, SALE - all of the trigger words! I may have to make room for this in my carry-on!

Summer beauty update...

I've never thought of myself as a beauty junkie; always more concerned about my dress or my shoes, as long as my face was free of blemishes, I was ok.

My how the tables have turned. I am now addicted to this cult serum, and am actually considering purchasing this moisturizer.  I'm much better about applying sunscreen (especially to my face), and will click on anything that mentions SPF, anti-aging, or skin brightening.  

When Vogue.com posted this about beauty items to stock in your beach house, I  immediately clicked.  The magic words - beauty and beach house!  I'll be adding these items to my city bath over the course of the summer.  

The chic Bottega Veneta clutch, above, is also on the summer radar.

Shoeday Saturday...

I plan to stockpile my favorite Ancient Greek Sandals while in Greece later this month.  This shape goes with everything, and never goes out of style.
