Decopage darlings...

Over the past few months there has been little to get excited about.

Today, is a day I am excited for.

At 10am EST, the John Derian Decopage sale begins.  Usually held in their shop on East 2nd street, this year the sale will be online.

Thousands of pieces will be 50% or more reduced. 

I have decoupage pieces throughout my house.  A catch-all for mail, keys, and now masks at the entry, a set of small plates act as coasters on my coffee table, and my collection of polaroids lives on a large tray.  Each piece is timeless and one of a kind, a true piece you will have forever.

I have my fingers crossed for a few switch covers, and desk cups.

Love for Lindroth...

Recently, I listened to a podcast with the spectacular Amanda Lindroth.

I love her island style, and her shop in Palm Beach is a must visit.

Her tabletop collection is one of my favorites.  I currently have a set of these placemats  in my cart, and this glassware has just been restocked!

Lately...

What I have been reading, watching, buying, making lately!

These straws from Amazon are my favorite purchase of late.

Honorable mention goes to a packable, UPF 50+ sun hat.  

I am rereading The Summer We Read Gatsby, I love anything set in the Hamptons.  Previously I finished An American Marriage, a great read - bring tissues, and Lady in Waiting, a true gem. 

Next on my list is Such A Fun Age and The Last of the Duchess, about the later years of Wallis Simpson.  

Podcasts are my new go-to on walks.  Everything from the Goop podcast, to interior design with Paloma Contreras, and a friend recently turned me on to Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, a charming and witty podcast.  

Binging is back! The Politician, Season 2 is out on Netflix. The sets and costumes do not disappoint, and the cast is phenomenal - Bette Midler, Judith Light, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ben Platt. 

Amanda Brooks is one of my favorite instagram follows.  She lives on a Farm, owns a charming shop, has incredible taste and style.  Her books have prime real estate on my bookshelf.  Her olive oil cake recipe is simple and divine, I highly recommend for your next socially distant get-together.

House dress...

As we are all spending more time at home, the house dress has become the go-to item.  Chic enough to sashay around the house from kitchen to garden, put-together enough to jump on a Zoom call, and durable for an afternoon nap.

Vogue.com recently posted an article on vacation dressing, while at home.   While most of us are staying home, why not pull out your favorite vacation apparel?  The earrings you bought on your last vacation, the dress you bought for last Summer's trip to Europe, and while you are at it recreate a vacation cocktail!
