In late 2000, while still at the helm of Kate Spade New York, Kate and Andy Spade released their first book, Contents. It brings forth the argument that while the outside of one's handbag is aesthetically pleasing, is it not what's inside that is most compelling? The book is made up of 46 raw images of different individuals 'contents'. A dog walker, a fashion editor, photographers, writers, and chefs exposed what they carry around each day. Here is a table of contents for my bag du jour:
Louis Vuitton Insolite Wallet in red ... a classic
Prada black nylon ruffle cosmetic case. Small enough to fit in almost any purse, large enough to hold...
Balenciaga Paris purse spray ...
Band-Aid flexible fabric bandages ... I am not one for wearing sensible footwear ... ever
Moleskine notebook ... the city is filled with places and things you want to remember and go back to ... this helps jog the memory
