When you are the trend...

Some might think this is a funny follow up to a post about yearning for a gold sequin dress, but I see some parallels.  Over the weekend the NY Times published a piece about investment fashion - articles of clothing that shun trends and focus on longevity.  I couldn't agree more.  With the rising cost of clothing and accessories, and the shuttering of bricks and mortar shops, buying clothing is harder than ever.  Fashion fashion is thrust in front of our faces, free shipping, low prices, but then what? 
If I have learned anything over the past year, it is to buy what you love.  If an item doesn't spark a ting of excitement, return it.  Invest in pieces that you love and will wear forever. That is what fashion is.
