Follain at Fivestory...

Clean beauty emporium, Follain, is about to finish its residency at Fivestory in NYC.
The charming space in the loft of Fivestory's East 69th Street townhouse, is filled to the brim with fan favorites from Vitner's Daughter, to French Girl Organics, to Follain's own branded products.  I bought a lemongrass soap when I was in last week, and am going back for the candle!

Time to bake.

Your shopping is complete, maybe a few things still to wrap and put under the tree.

I made mini bundt cakes to serve tonight with fresh berries, and now need to tackle a layer cake, Christmas-ified, to bring tomorrow.  I love serving desserts on  Juliska's platters, everything always looks beautiful on them.  

If you need me, I'll be in the kitchen!

This Vintner's Daughter serum is much hyped, and I must say well worth the price tag. 
I noticed improvements in my skin after just a few uses. 

My bottle is in need of replacement, might be just the right gift from me to me.

Jenni Kayne, queen of California cool launched a home collection earlier this year, and it does not disappoint.   Neutral colors, super soft wools and linens, that seem to fit in every room.  The basketweave pillows and throw are a personal fave, and apparently popular with others - there is a waiting list for them!

 Donald Robertson first made an appearance on our Christmas list four years ago,  when instagram will still relatively new, and he was working out of his basement in Larchmont.  Now, he has moved to Los Angeles, is busier than ever collaborating with Linda's at Bergdorf Goodman, clothing with Veronica Beard, and he has a book out!  

Bonus points if you can track down Donald and have the book signed by the twins!

On my list: a sauté pan.

Yes, a seemingly boring gift.  But, I make some sort of an egg every morning,

scrambled, fried, hard boiled (I haven't mastered poaching yet).

I hate to clean my sauté pan.  There are screws that connect the pan to the handle, which are impossible to clean, they need some sort of micro-brillo.  

This pan from Demeyere looks like it checks off all the boxes: no screws, stainless steel, and at 9 1/4 inches, just the right size for 2 scrambled eggs.

Topping my list of things to give:  Jennifer Fisher salts.

Yes, she is a jewelry designer, but she recently debuted a line of salts and they are phenomenal.  Her Universal Salt has completely changed my mind about salt, and changed how I cook.  I use a sprinkle of this on everything - poultry, fish, vegetables, you name it!
