Everlane makes cashmere that you can wear all day, every day.

These boots...

I like a lot of things about about the weather getting colder: cashmere, warm apple cider, cashmere.   One thing I do not like, boots. Every year I try, the heel is too high, they are too hard to get on and off, my feet look funny. Boots are hard.  Last year I bought a pair from Tabitha Simmons, that I love, this year maybe I will add the below from Isabel Marant to the mix.

Velvet crush...

Now that temperatures have dropped, I cannot get enough velvet.
I still have my eye on this cutie, am thinking about adding some velvet pillows to the mix, these slippers would get a lot of wear, and the latest from the Aerin home line - the most charming velvet tray.  Perfect for jewelry at the end of the day, or just pretty decor atop a stack of books.

Chill...

Overnight, the temperatures have dropped and it is time to pull out the layers.
Cashmere sweaters are now in full force, and the coats are being dusted off.
This double-breasted Proenza Schouler coat is a great addition to the Fall/Winter rotation.  The classic style adds instant chic to any outfit.

Friday, finally...

It has been a long week.  Finally, it is the weekend.
Temperatures are supposed to drop, and I cannot wait.

Athena Calderone, of EyeSwoon, shared her Brooklyn townhouse with AD this month, and it is nothing short of spectacular.  This kitchen is was dreams are made of.  Cleaning my kitchen and buying sculptural flowers ASAP.

Going to try my hand at making this soup at some point this weekend...

It is the final days of the Serena & Lily sale.  I have my eye on this for my front hall, and a pretty floor lamp, and raffia placemats.

FiveStory NY extended their Friends & Family sale thru the weekend.  Such a pretty slip dress, a sweater to live in this season, your go-to winter boot.

Sweater Weather...

Rumor has it that the East Coast is going to get a dose of Fall this weekend, with temperatures dropping into the 50s.
It is not expected to stay, but then again, who knows what is going on with the weather.

Coat season...

Before we know it, we will be in coat season.
Personally, I love a coat, an extra layer to add some pizzaz to your outfit.

Accent love...

I plan to stockpile Céline before Hedi Slimane's accent-less collection debuts this Spring.

Rise and shine...

Weekends need to be longer.  I say this every Monday.

Some things on my radar:

The New York Times Food section started Five Weeknight Dishes, easy to make and easy to eat.

Paris Fashion Week has not been the epitome of chicness that it usually is.
Heidi Slimane's debut for Celine has thrown everyone into a tizzy.

A Star is Born... is out this week.

Did you know that she gave Tory Burch her collection of botanical prints (above?).

Fall classics to find on Netflix, Amazon, and OnDemand.
