Hunt Slonem...

The Kips Bay Decorator House,  which occurs each spring, is one of my favorite happenings in NYC.  Various designers from around the country, each get a room to design how ever they wish.  It's a sneak-peak into some of Manhattan's finest real estate and a mecca for interior design mavens.
This year the show house took place in the Arthur Sachs Mansion on East 66th Street.   Designer Philip Mitchell transformed the home's ovular winding staircase using over 100 framed pieces of art.  My favorite the large scale Hunt Slonem bunny painting on the third floor landing.  Flanked by simple sconces, and housed in a large scale, ornate frame, live seven of Slonem's iconic bunny figures.

Slonem's "Rabbits" series can also be seen on display at the bar area of Crowne, on the Upper East Side, for sale at 1stdibs, and available as wall paper from Lee Jofa
