Oscar facts...

Are you superstitious?
Is it possible that one designer has a winning edge over others on the red carpet?
Or is it purely coincidental?
MediaRun, a blog from the UK, recently published an illustration of all the gowns worn by Best Actress winners from 1929 - present day.  Their goal was to show how styles have changed, and how much more extravagant they have become.
What I found interesting: how often certain designer names appear.
Giorgio Armani leads with three wins:
Jessica Tandy (1990), Jodie Foster (1992) and Emma Thompson (1993).
Following close behind:
Gucci*: Helen Hunt (1998) and Charlize Theron (2004)
*both during the Tom Ford for Gucci era,
Yves Saint Laurent: Jane Fonda (1972) and Kate Winslet (2009),
Jean Paul Gaultier: Nicole Kidman (2003) and Marion Cotillard (2008),
Christian Dior: Reece Witherspoon (2006) and Jennifer Lawrence (2013)

Who will be the winning designer this year?
