The Ivy...

Years ago, a friend and I went to LA and we had to eat at The Ivy.  At the time, it was the spot to see celebrities.  I remember walking down Robertson Blvd, feeling ever so chic, we were going to the Ivy.  Our big celebrity sighting, Michael Bolton.  Not quite what we anticipated.
The charm of the restaurant did not disappoint.  We sat outside, I cannot remember what we ate, but I remember the china - the gorgeous hand painted green, blue and pink painted plates, bowls, pitchers, everywhere!
I love how various china patterns become synonymous with establishments - the Bernardaud stripes at Claridge's; Vietri's Campagna at almost any rustic Italian restaurant, and now the Ivy.
Place setting for one please!
